For Heineken Netherlands, a renowned global leader in the beverage industry, establishing a robust Data Governance organisation was crucial. Heineken recognised the need to optimise its data assets to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. In 2018, Heineken Netherlands partnered with Clever Republic to establish a robust Data Governance organisation from the ground up, as part of their newly formed Data &amp; Analytics Office. Their goal was to implement a comprehensive Data Governance framework to manage and optimise their data assets effectively while directly showing business value. Subsequently, Clever Republic collaborated with their Data &amp; Analytics team to define the requirements for a Request for Proposal (RFP) and assisted in selecting appropriate Data Governance tooling, ultimately choosing Collibra. Clever Republic proceeded to implement Collibra from the ground-up and based on business use cases, encompassing various components such as the Asset Model, Meta Model, Data Catalog, Business Glossary, User Roles, Active Directory Integration, Workflows, and Report Integration. Beyond the local implementation, Clever Republic extended its support to Heineken Global in their initial steps to roll out Collibra to 78 countries. By establishing a solid Data Governance framework supported by a business focused Collibra implementation, Clever Republic empowered Heineken to effectively manage their data assets and drive strategic decision-making at both national and international levels.
